Coming to the L.A. Opera this fall: The Fly, an opera with music by Howard Shore, libretto by David Henry Hwang, design by Dante Ferretti, conducted by Placido Domingo and directed by David Cronenberg, according to Metroblogging. No other details were revealed, but I'm ready to order my tickets now! In the remake by Cronenberg, Brundle thinks he has ironed out the last problem when he successfully transports a living creature, but when he attempts to teleport himself a fly enters one of the transmission booths, and Brundle finds he is a changed man.
