Our brand new Video Game section has already scored a whopper of a scoop as they've reported exclusively that the upcoming Saw video game will tie directly into Lionsgate's release of Saw V, which hit theaters on October 24, although the game won't hit retailer until 2009. No other details were revealed other than screenwriters Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton are not involved. Watch for more news as it comes in.

Ok. I'm a huge fan of Saw and a huge video game fan. But how the hell would a Saw game work? Kinda sounds like crap to me.

whopper of a scoop? I read this a week ago somewhere else that a Saw video game is being released around the same time as Saw V. What exactly is the breaking news? I am confused.

i think i have som sort of idea what the game would be like. maybe you get to play more than one character. what if u play as jigsaw, and the person that's being tested? just throwing out ideas.

Sounds like a bad idea, but I'm curious to see a preview

I would want to play as the character being tested and maybe have a mutliplayer where 1 person could be jigsaw setting up and dealing with FREE downloadable traps that could be added to the lair much in the style of Saw 2 or 3's way of having a kind of maze of traps. and The only reason I reason I personally believe it will wait until saw 6 ontop of the offical annoucement handed down to a few gaming sites is the simple fact it will take more then 8 months to make a good game that works that has little bugs. unlike the rushed peice of crap that was Land of the dead:road to finlders green

yea dood i'd rather have it later than it coming out in a few months and having a crappy game.they should have it tie in with ALL movies in the saw universe since it comes out near the release of VI

Ok OK. Now let's just put down our crack pipes and talk logically about this for a while. The Saw movies have featured people being tortured in the some of the most grisly ways possible (I'm exluding most of the horror films from the 70's because they were actually worse), but by today's standards - it's pretty damn sadistic. A game came out recently called Manhunt 2 which tried to depict a similar fashion in how it's protagonist despatches of ememies (complete with disemboweling by power saw up the crotch). And what happened - it had to get re-edited because of it's content and what we got instead was a watered-down, weaker-than-circus-lemonade version that let everybody down. And now they think they can put out a Saw video game? Who the fuck are they kidding? Yes, it is possible that a cool game could come from this concept (keyword - possible), but it ain't gonna be so cool when the video games rating board a-holes get done with it. I could be wrong; but I'm not - it's going to fucking suck! So is the fucking Prom Night movie remake, that will actually suck worse. So I've said my peace - please resume crack smoking.......now.
