In what is probably the worst news thus far this year, Director Mark Romanek has exited The Wolfman remake that was meant to be shot for Universal Pictures, according to Variety. Romanek exited the film late Monday night over creative differences. The film has long had Benicio Del Toro aboard to play the werewolf, and the studio just set Emily Blunt (Charlie Wilson's War) and Anthony Hopkins to play the other leads in the film. The studio maintains that Romanek left the project in strong shape and that it expects to set another director quickly. No word on whether a Feb. 18 start date will remain in place.
this was in my opinion gonna be the best remake of all time, not now. This guy knew what he was doing, he really knew the Wolfman, The creative differences to me only mean that they wanna makea more modern cgi shitty piece of shit film. Please preove me wrong
NNNOOOOOO!!!!! I was so amped for this too. Who in the hell are they gonna replace him with now (or do I even wanna know)? They better not lose Del Toro or Baker...
Creative differences?! You mean they can't decide what kind of fake looking CGI to use or weather they should have Jack Nicholson make a cameo to piss on somebody's shoes again. I'm just going to say it "fuck the Wolf Man". Only a handful of the MANY werewolf movies have been any good anyway, and those movies were made when people in Hollywood had balls. This remake sure is fun to make fun of though. They should put the Wolf Man in the next Hostel movie and have him get his schlong cut off at the end.
