What the hell are you talking about Crox83? Lionsgate is doing fine. The SAW franchise is what the Friday the 13th franchise was to Paramount; an embarrassing money maker. The films are nothing special, but they sure as hell make some nice cash flow. As for Lionsgate barely being afloat... well, Lionsgate does quite well, they release many films a year, many of which do well in theaters and on DVD. Get your facts straight.

jmacgrath is right... saw 4 earned more money then 3...not in the first day but overall.... and now with dvd sales... woha! and it's a huge franchise... thats so cheap... easy 30-40 mill in the pocket each film... since each was is only like 10 mill at the most... geeze! the first one was less than a million and was filmed in 10 days! but i lvoe it... it's my favourite franchise of all time!

i think this movie should have a better ending compared to four.we all expected hoffman to end up as the other apprentice.i hope this one gets better reception...

Guys, get a fucking hold of yourselves! The last SAW was not that bad. I really doubt anyone fell asleep watching it also. It's easily the most original series of horror films we've seen in a long time. It's obviously made u talk about it. More than 50% of the horror films of '07 wish they could be as good!

Hell, the Saw movies are actually pretty good. I had a friend who said once that they are like a TV show with one episode a year. That's the way to look at it. Each one continues the story and builds upon the last, they are actually taking the time to make original situations and characters with a strong moral theme in the center of the film which is to appreciate life. All the great horror films have some sort of message to them that is relevant to the times, and as for most modern horror, Saw is right on the fucking money about the problems people have today. When you are kids, it's "Be good or the boogeyman will get you!", but now it's "appreciate life or you'll be horribly tortured and possibly killed". Makes ya think.

The first Saw was awesome, the second was awesome, the third was shaky, the fourth was awesome and i really hope the fifth is wesome too. I dont know why people hate on IV, its not that bad......it actually goes more into jigsaws history. Well Im confident Saw V will rock.......the real problem is when is the stupid "High School Musical" shit gonna end?
