Forget Sundance, deals are already being made out of the Slamdance Film Festival as we've learned exclusively that Anchor Bay Entertainment has acquired domestic theatrical and home video rights to the awesome Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer (review, trailer), which follows a plumber with anger issues who must arm himself and save stop a monster outbreak. Robert Englund stars in the film, which will be getting some sort of theatrical release later this year. No word yet on how big. Watch this spot for an official announcement soon.
