While sitting around bored waiting for a movie to start at the Sundance Film Festival, we stumbled onto a pretty interesting scoop. We can confirm that Dimension Films has purchased the screenplay The Neighbor from writers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton (Saw IV, V, VI, Feast trilogy). As of right now John Gulager is attached to direct, but nothing is set in stone. We learned that the film follows a Texas/Mexico border guy who runs immigrants into the country and becomes tangled in a scandal... where torture is involved. Watch for any updates as they come in.
