Of course Carpenter will go after every single penny, whether it's shiny or rusted. He hasn't had the ability to direct anything worth even mentioning in many yrs, and never will again, so he relies on any sort of profit from the one movie that created his "Ridiculous God-like status" as a director.
I lost respect for this idiot after he admitted he would have directed H2O ( thats part 7 folks ), but he wasn't going to be paid enough, so he opted out.
