While chatting with one of our buddies we stumbled on to some really cool news about New Line Cinema's The New Daughter, which stars Ivana Baquero and Kevin Costner. The film is being sold to us as a supernatural-thriller, but what they haven't revealed is that the film will feature a creature and that casting is currently underway for a "creature performer". Here's what I'm told they're looking for: Someone physically capable of animating the character. They must also be ultra thin - bordering on emaciated. They also must be comfortable wearing full coverage facial make-up appliances with limited vision. Actors must be comfortable with full body makeup application process. Is this based on the John Connolly story? because that would be great.
