Today there were a few new horror figure announcements that I think some of you might dig. Fans of Silence of the Lambs with be psyched about the Movie Minimates set that includes Clarice Starling, Dr. Lecter, Buffalo Bill and Hannibal the Cannibal, each featuring all-new Art Asylum sculpts; in addition, NECA released new images of the AvP-R line, which includes a wide array of weaponry; and then there's Sideshow Collectible's new Blade vs Dracula Diorama. Read on for more details and pics.

Figures.com reports that next in Diamond Select's continuing line of Movie Minimates comes the cast from the 1991 Academy Award-winning Best Picture The Silence of the Lambs. The set stars Clarice Starling, Dr. Lecter, Buffalo Bill and Hannibal the Cannibal, each featuring all-new Art Asylum sculpts. Accessories include Hannibal's removable straight jacket, Buffalo Bill's signature Death's Head Moth and Hannibal the Cannibal's trademark mask and gurney. The upcoming “The Silence of the Lambs” Minimates box set will join other MGM Movie Minimates such as “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly,” “For a Few Dollars More,” “Fistful of Dollars,” and “Platoon” and more iconic films – all due out in 2008.

From Figures.com comes more from Blade VS Dracula. A Sideshow Exclusive version will be offered allowing you to switch-out Blade's gun-holding hand for a bonus sword accessory. Sideshow will begin accepting preorders on this detailed piece tonight (1-10) at approximately 6-7pm PT.

From NECA. The Predator Action Figures feature: Whip, Shuriken, Spear Staff, Plasma Cannons and Interchangeable Left Hand. The Predator's trademark shoulder-mounted Plasma Cannons are jointed, can swivel and pivot up and down, and be folded back when not in use. And just like in AVP: Requiem, they can be removed from the shoulders and used as hand-held guns with attaching battery packs! The interchangeable left hand allows the Predator to hold two weapons at once, and his right hand features retractable blades! All weapons are interchangeable between both the Masked and Unmasked figures.

Lastly from Action-Figure comes this Andrew Torso Statuette from CS Moore Studio's The Walking Dead line. Hot on the heels of the delightfully gruesome Nate and Vince Torso Statuettes, here's your chance to own the third zombie based on Robert Kirkman's immensely popular Walking Dead series. At $24.95, this limited-edition dead dude is quite a bargain!

NECA's predator figures look way better than Mcfarlanes predator figures from a while back. Lets hope they look good in person not just good in the pictures like usual.
