One of my top 10 films of 2007 was the Spanish horror film [REC], which is being remade here in the States as Quarantine by Sony Screen Gems. The film just wrapped physical production so we checked in with director John Dowdle for a quick word on his first studio experience, "The shoot was awesome. The acting was great. It was incredibly intense. There were scenes that terrified the people watching on set! This movie is going to blow people's minds. I couldn't be more thrilled with it." We couldn't be more excited here on B-D as we feel this could be the first real hardcore horror film from Screen Gems.
