Amazing news hit my inbox this afternoon as we've confirmed that one of my favorite actors, Chris Meloni (pictured inside), has officially joined the cast of Sony Screen Gems' remake of The Stepfather. Sherry Stringfield (ER) has also been cast alongside Dylan Walsh, Sela Ward, Penn Badgley and Adrianne Palicki. Meloni is best known for his role in HBO's prison drama OZ and will appear in Paramount Vantage's Carriers. Nelson McCormick begins shooting late March/early April in Los Angeles. A dangerous homicidal maniac, David Harris loves to insert himself into families and then destroy them, he selects Susan Harding and her three children as his next family to "stepfather"...

NoOneImportant 7:55pm, January 8, 2008 Whenever they take a female character from a movie and make that character into a male character,the movie has already bombed before they even started filming....They should of kept the daughter,and they should of changed the stepfather into the stepmother so we could see a catfight.
