What a bummer! After all of the recent hype for MGM's The Poughkeepsie Tapes (review, trailers/clips), the movie was bumped to an undetermined 2008 date. Watch this spot for any further updates. Throughout the 1990s, a serial killer terrorized upstate New York. After a decade-long crime spree conducted largely under the radar of law enforcement, the killer left behind the most disturbing collection of evidence homicide detectives had ever seen hundreds of homemade videotapes that chronicle the stalking, abduction, murder, and disposal of his victims.
The film does not live up to the concept. It bombed at BNAT. What the fan hopefuls have to understand is that the only cool thing about the film is the concept of finding a killers snuff and stalk video collection. It fails in plot, and acting. It just plain sucks. Sad, but true, and thats why it's being moved around. Becuase it wont make a return till it hit DVD most likely. Don't say I didn't warn ya!
To 'thephantomk' - I understand what you're saying and mabey it's not as good as we are hoping. But there has been quite a hype and we actually might like it. Hell, even if we don't will should still have to right to see it. The film studios are going to subject us to Alone in the Dark 2 and a fucking Prom Night remake for shit's sake. As long as it's different from that crap I'll be happy. So let me add now to the others on this page: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Holy Fucking Shit NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Those sons a bitches.......... Give us our movie anyway you studio limp dick pricks. :)
