it was revealed this past week that Steve Miner's Day of the Dead remake will be heading to DVD on April 8, 2008 from First Look Home Entertainment. The original follows a group of scientists and military personnel holed up in an underground bunker because the world above is overrun with zombies. The lumbering flesheaters eventually find a way in and wreak havoc on the scientists who've been experimenting on their undead brethren. Head over to Amazon to pre-order it.
Really, really, really, not looking forward to this one at all :-\ They need to rename it first off. "Nick Cannon's Wildin' Out With The Dead" Seems like a much more appropriate title. Hopefully the reshoots they were talking about make a difference :-\ I doubt it..
Seeing how this is one of the single most pointless remakes of all time, since the original was a damn near perfect film(in my opinion that is). So I wish this never happened, but I feel better that it's going straight to DVD.
But I wont bitch. I'll "rent" it and be done with it. I wont cry like people did about Halloween :P
it could be actually better then the original which should have been straight to video in the first place and probably will be better then Children of the dead(which wasn't headed by G.A.R) but was in the same setting as the original 4
I've seen dozens and dozens of comments of hate for this film. Can anyone actually tell me what the hell is wrong with the trailer? It seems fine to me. I haven't seen the movie, and neither have you. What exactly is wrong with this movie? Why all the bad reviews?
