Coming March 6 to REGION 2 is the 6-disc DVD set of Grindhouse, which you'll have to import from Japan. From my experience this release will be better than the US release when it eventually hits stores, so this is probably the edition to invest in - even though it still looks disappointing. It looks as if many of the features have already been used, while other look like they were pulled from the EPK for the theatrical release of the film. BUT on disc five is the full theatrical cut that we're hoping includes the faux trailers. Read on for the specs.

Rodriguez alread ystated that there would be another release. I looked it up somewhere. If these features exist, North America will no doubt get a version of them.
Im so glad I passed on these films being released seperately on DVD, I just had a funny feeling, that in time, it would be released as ONE film. Im willing to wait however long it takes until it comes out.
Typical BS, they plan on releasing these special editions all along yet they still bring out the crappy "empty" normal versions only a couple of months before the good stuff. I am so glad i didn't buy the separate versions although i predict those will sell for peanuts very soon
Maybe I am the only one excited about this, but I loved both films. Death Proof more so than Planet Terror. I collect horror movies so I am not upset about buying the films already. I look forward to picking this set up. If any of you are wanting it, www.xploitedcinema.com will be carrying it. This way you wont have to import it. Anyway, I am excited!
I'll be picking this up. Specily since I have not got much use out of my R2 DVD player since I picked up the Phantasm sphere. I cannot wait till this hits Japan!
There is a reason they released them seperatley. It's to keep with the Grindhouse theme. Yeah, they showed two films back to back, but they never realeased them together. QT and RR are just keepin' it old school. I've got both seperatley but I'm still gonna buy them together, that way I can watch just one or if I've got some people over for a movie night, they can have a full Grindhouse experience as well.
it's not that hard or expensive to get one. just go to amazon.com and type region free dvd player. i got my family 2 for christmas. and now i'm excited to get this dvd and not bitch about it being from america or not
