Hilarious Review! I guess i'll be skipping out on this one.

You got to be kidding,this movie is awesome.

After reading your review I have to say I think you weren't paying attention. You got simple things mixed up... The main "nerd" isn't a nerd at all, but it's established in the conversation he has with the sheriff near the beginning that they were petty criminals or something of the sort. The protagonist is amazed that they gave the sheriff the job. The clock line is hammy but that's addressed before the strip scene in a conversation with the girl... And I think it's safe to say the line about the Army was meant to be funny. The movie isn't special but it's a lot better than crap. I'd suggest rewatching it. The ending is crap though, I'll give you that.

Mr. Disgusting, no offense, but you have zero taste in my book. This movie not only made up for the abysmal AVP1 movie, but it brought it back to basics. The movie had a lot of the Original Predator and Aliens (part 2 - hence the s) feel in the movie. The humans were not the main characters at all, the lone Predator was. I don't think anyone should listen to you, and if they are a true fan of the Alien or Predator franchises they should be running to see this one as it did not disappoint one person in my packed theatre on X-Mas day. This movie sold out every showing in a large Cinemark theatre in the Houston area. I would not only recommend this to those who are fans, but those who like the gore and monster vs monster films. For once, I have to say your review held no merrit. - P|NK out.

In regards to the review, what the hell did you think you were watching? The Predator and Alien series both were campy as all hell and that's why everyone loved AVPR in my theater. Don't get me wrong, the movie did have it's minor flaws, and I absolutely love the franchises. But whining about the Chestbursters popping out too fast, and the Predator's caring whether or not the human race lives. What? How do you know how long it takes an alien to come out of your chest? The acting wasn't bad either, it wasn't great at all. But i understood the characters enough to be like, well he should die. I was also surprised at points in the movie too! Anyway, the first five minutes of the movie was better than the first film! So if you're looking for an action film that you'll enjoy for what it is, definitely see this movie.

I haven't seen the movie, but rating it 1/5 is unnecessarily harsh. It might be a bad movie, but all the positive stuff seen in the trailers you've discounted, because no way would that equate to a 1/5. I refuse to accept it's as bad as AvP. Get an unbiased review up, Quick!

hmmmm you all need help... i don't think any of you understand, you're making excuses... we arn't talking about nay film that's just been made... we are talking about Alien and predator! TOGETHER! both franchises coming together for another battle! and there is no excuse for what Mr. Disgusting is saying! you're defending the movie by saying the acting wasn't terrible, but just alright! NO, this a like a billion dolalr franchise, this movie has been in development for a long time, they;re should be no good or alright! they're should only be words like extravigant! superb! exilherating! this is one of the most popular franchises created! it should only be one thing, and that is at it's best! they're are no other excuses! they should make every inch, every second, EVERYTHING! of this film perfect... and if there was one mistake, you can't cover it by saying it was just trying to go back to basics, and that "you can't be sure" or some shit! it should only be oen thing! and that is perfection! they had the money, they had the time, they had everything they needed, apart from brains! and the most important thing of all... common horror sence! this review is perfect, because he's right... if they haven't been popping otu that fast all this time, why the fuck are they now? if the acting is bad! of course its bad! because if its not but utter perfection! there's nothing else it can be! get the picture! they had everything they needed to make a good film, and they screwed with it!

simply by trying to out do the past, and you can't out do what's already been done, because it's that past and that thing that's already been done that has made both franches what they are to day! successful! so when they make things outside the reality of alien vs predator, a true fan who studies this film and observes it will instincly know! and liek i said before, if they haven't been popping out that fast before! what the fuck is the excuse that they are now? they're is none! the END!

Well, I for one very much enjoyed AVPR! And I liked the first one as well, so, there you go...I had no expectations going in and enjoyed both. Just because you didn't like it D, doesn't mean it is the shitty movie you rant about. Get over yourself, you are really an asshole because you think your words are supposed to be taken as if God spoke them. Hah, this coming from someone who praised and worshipped The Roost.

Ok, first of all this was a major leap forward from the first AvP so i think we should all be greatful that if we support the film they will make another that should be better then this one. they are listening but the idea of AvP is so big it will never live up to our imaginations, no matter what. and about the chestbusters, through to majic of movies it could have been hours and hours before it poped out, would you have wanted to see the whole process on screen, hell no!!! Please Give AvPR a chance!!! PLease!!!

MrD. its seems you'll be one in very minority that didnt like this movie because so far i've read critical and fans reviews and most of them like the movie and saying it was much better then the first one, i remember you were the one that like "Freddy vs Jason" i have hard time understanding that you like this vs movie and not the First AVP which IMO "Alien vs Predator" was a better vs movie, "FvsJ" was bad its not comedy (where people laugh) with bad acting and another lame singer part of the cast....its a damn scary horror movie that "Freddy vs Jason" should have been, at least they should have try to make it scary and more a horror movie!!!.

I am of the minority who kind of enjoyed AVP1. It's a VS movie. there's no way to ever make it great AND appeal to fans of both franchises. I think they went the right route and just made a fast paced ride. But AVP2 had the worst characters in the entire franchise(s), and they spent far too much time with them. Even the rapists and murderers of Alien cubed were more appealing. Also, LOL @ the roost... he'll never live that down.

I love how people will reach as far as to say this view is bias. I went into the movie with the same expectation, wanting to enjoy the film, hoping it would at LEAST be better than the first. This film was tripe. No 2 ways about it, everything in this review is spot on. Anyone defending the film has serious issues. Just let it go... it sucked.

ummmm, watching the actors in this movie was hard to sit through. go back and watch the original alien, then watch this shit, and you will see what i mean.

i don't know why everyone bashes the first movie i thought it was good and i thought this movie was 10 times better then the first i loved this movie i wasnt going to this movie looking for acadamy award winning acting i was looking for kick ass fight scenes and the movie delivered as for those complaining about the humans in there if there was no humans to kill you would get pretty bored of watching the aliens and predator fighting each other for an hour and a half

MRPINK077, Johnny Devil, JohnRyder have the correct views on this film. It was a good movie! It was full of action and gore. Long live the Predator! And yes the first avp was a piece of shit. The predators were such crap in that film it was a damn joke.

I went into the theatre last night and watched this film. Let it be known I am a huge alien and predator fan first off. I was extremely impressed and delighted with the film. The acting wasnt too bad, the movie ran really well and it actually felt like an alien or predator movie which can not be said for the first film. They stayed really true to both franchise and I really dont understand some of the comments made about this film. I dont have the time to sit here and correct every moronic statement made in the reviews on this site which I used to respect until I read the reviews given to this movie. Most of the points made in both reviews were just plain wrong all together. The movie was great and the ending was really cool as well if you have played the video game "Predator Concrete Jungle" otherwise you might have a hard time understanding the ending. The comment made about the scene with the clock, was wrong, and apparently you werent paying attention to the movie at all. The comment about the aliens popping out too fast was completely wrong as well, the only time the aliens popped out fast were with the victims of the predalien and since this is the first time we have seen the predalien impregnate it could have been anyones guess on the timing of the gestation. I seem to remember a news post a couple of months ago from Mr.Disgusting saying something along the lines that he thought this movie was going to be crap even before it came out, so when he says he went in wanting to like the movie I think that was a complete lie in order to try to get people to swallow is very narrow and ignorant opinion. I read these reviews right before I went in to see the movie and the whole time I sat there I was looking for some of the things they said were wrong with the movie. Every issue they brought up was explained in the movie which leads me to believe these guys went in half asleep or point blank just wanted to hate the movie upon seeing it. AVP was a movie I really really didnt like, they took two rated R movies and made a pg-13 movie that didnt even have all the elements correct in order to make it true to the franchise it was based on. With AVP-R I felt like I was sitting in a predator movie, it felt natural and the movie really delivered everything the directors promised it would. As for the comments about the movie being too tame for an R rating all I have to say is this. Since when do pregnant girls have their bellies pop open to have aliens crawling out appear in any movie other than a rated R flick? I think you guys were looking for an NC-17 movie and not a rated R flick. Watch the original alien and predator movies and familiarize yourself with the franchise before writing a completely flawed review on a great movie guys. As for the comment about everyone being on your side, you might go check out the reviews on other sites giving this movie a solid 3 to 4 stars before you go around pushing false claims like some sort of ego driven school yard bullie.
