Today the first teaser poster was revealed from M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening, which is a tale of when mother nature attacks. The pic, which will mark Shyamalan's first R-rated effort, is a paranoid thriller about a family on the run from a natural crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity. You'll be able to check it out in theaters June 13 from 20th Century Fox. Read on for the one sheet.

I am a fan of most M. Night Shyamalan (except Lady in the Water) so I am pretty excited for this movie. But even the Haters have to agree, he makes some cool ass movie posters.

For one i dont think he makes his own posters, he just agrees or denies and thats up to a point. Also, its alittle tacky to put your other films names on your poster- but i do like the poster. But come on its not like he is a no name director

i think people need to learn to appreciate production value instead of judging a movie based on their opinion of the story/idea behind it. Im always entertained by the effort and money put into bigger budget films even if I dont like the movie itself. And btw, if you didnt like Lady in the Water, you need to lighten up.

I'm all for "to each his own" but judging movies on production value? Really? So, a movie is good based on how much money it spends, basically? Therefore big budget movies are all better than low budget ones, just because they have more money to spend.

I wonder if this will be Shyamalan's first good movie. Naw, probably not.

i agree on the title being a miss but even though the poster looks like a cover for a paperback mystery novel i do like it. How come most of the cars on the poster are European models? Is this set in Europe?

i didnt say anything about judging movies based on production value. some people just dont appreciate all of the other hard work that goes into a film production aside from the writers story and the directors vision of it. so thanks for taking my words out of context for the sake of instigating an argument. you rock. (pause) not.

Oh no, a director doing something different? For shame. At least he's not doing the same stupid crap over and over *cough-Romero-cough*.

This guy it's way overrated in my opinion, Lady in the water was decent, but "the village" was so predictable it was shameful, "Signs" was too long and boring, his first two films were the best for me, although "unbreakable" had many dragging moments, now I´m not judging the movie by the poster, buuuuut, really, this seems like a Bentley Little's suspense novel,(google them and you'll see) which by the way, has only tittles such as "The Store", "the house", "the walk" "the company" and many one "the" things more,so this "the happening" fits th profile flawlessly....

You know, after the disappointing films like The Village, Signs, and Lady In the Water... no thanks.
