Right, because the original "The Eye" was such a gore fest. Oh wait, no it wasn't. A PG-13 seems not that strange.

I agree with saturday. The original Shutter wouldn't have gotten an R rating here either.

Funny Games, Case 39 and The Eye are the only ones I want to see...

The way I look at it....as long as it scares me or creeps me out, I couldn't care less what it is rated. I am not all about the gore. Hell, if I wanna see gore in every film I see, I could just pop in any generic horror movie, but, there are few and far in between that actually do what they are supposed to do. Scare you and freak you out.

It's not so much the lack of gore in PG-13's that bothers me, it's the fact everything's dumbed down for a teenie audience. Things are less threatening and it's just no fun. That said, aside from Funny Games, none of those films appeal to me so I'm pretty safe.
