So the rape scene is back in for the unrated version, that sucks.

Yeah, the rape scene was just really aweful.

Kinda hard to put together the "right" film, when ALL of the scenes are pure rip roarin hershey squirts. There was no saving this shit heap.

Too bad it doesn't come out in early December,it would have been a great addition to my x-mas list.

The rape scene was pointless! WHY??? The theatrical escape scene was 20x better. Oh well!

JGrayland

that was the only change from the workprint to the theatrical that was actually better. oh and removing the "lynda picks on some girl" scene. so thats probably back in it now. *sigh*

I wish Rob would look at the workpint. If not him, then someone else, then make a comercial release of it. Also fuck this shit of him not knowing whats in it. It was the screener copy shown the test audiances. He acts like he doesnt even know whats on it. I love how he does this shit again, and again. Makes him sounds like a hypocrite. Even if he hates it. Many of the fans like it, but the quality is shit thanks in part to the dimension logo.

i actually liked the rape scene.. when the one guy dies in the scene your like "thats for fucking with mike's masks and being disrespectful" and gets killed, in the theatre he is just there and not there.. he doesnt die.

Rob Zombie is a liar...always has been. You know darn well he's seen the infamous workprint!

That poopy smell you sense there EvilSpock, is Zombie's remake of Halloween heading our way onto millions of store shelves everywhere.

So.....our little turdling is about to infest its way onto retail markets everywhere. I really hope that everybody finally sees the utter transparency of Mr. Cumming's 'genius.' Anyway, the final tally goes as follows: $58,247,899. That's LESS (read that, LESS) than such distinguished cinematic gems of late such as The Amityville Horror, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dawn of the Dead (this one gets a pass), The Haunting, The Grudge, The Stepford Wives, Saw 2, Saw 3, Saw 4, H20 (adj.), Halloween 2 (adj.) and of course the paragon of all things horror, the original (which, by the way, if anyone forgot, ROB Zombie said he was going to correct thereby implying he was going to 'better' a seminal masterpiece. How'd that work out for all you silly little Myspace Zombieites?????) Congradulations are in order though. Jason Stratham was finally (and mercifully) dethroned as the Labor Day Weekend Reigning Heavyweight Champion of the $20-30mil. demographic. Seriously folks, is anyone REALLY still wonderring why the Weinstein's made that little termination statement after the dust has finally settled on this little piece of cinematic fecal mediocrity.....

Dr. L, Kind of hard to think that Zombie didn't see it when HE MADE the friggin' thing. Though the Work Print is actually better all the way around (sans the rape scene), it still is poorly written, and poorly directed. It needs an enema, so does Zombie! He should stick to rocking, not directing. We will probably see another one down the line, no matter what Mr. W says. Hey Sauron, nice to see the stats!

Being a die-hard '78 Halloween fan, it may be a sin to say that I enjoyed Rob's remake. Oh well, I'm a sinner. Bought the Unrated edition. Gotta say I prefer the theatrical Smith's Grove escape much better. The rape scene coulda stayed, but it'd have to be totally reshot: Michael get's P.O.d when they desecrate his masks, kills the guards, throws them out of his cell along w/ the rape victim, closes his door, straightens his masks, then goes back to work. THEN add back in the original escape...not sure how it would work, but I'm not a director.
