You haven't seen Showtime's Dexter yet? You have no idea what you're missing... at least there are a million people out there who know what's quality programming as "Dexter" broke Showtime's records this past Sunday. The hollywood Reporter reports that the serial killer drama starring Michael C. Hall drew 1.23 million viewers at 9 p.m. and a total of 1.63 million for the 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. runs. This marks the most-watched episode ever for a Showtime series, with the 1.23 million single-airing haul surpassing the previous record of "Soul Food," which drew 1.21 million in 2004. Sunday night's episode of "Dexter" also grew an impressive 41% from the previous week. "Dexter's" surge also lifted its lead-out series, the sophomore drama "Brotherhood," which averaged 651,000 viewers at 10 p.m. and another 110,000 at midnight -- the largest audience ever for the critically praised series and up 47% from the previous week.

After watching one episode that was very predictable with the manifesto revelation from the FBI agent, I am not going to watch this Forever Knight version for serial killers and Dexter looked and acted like a whiny and wimpy individual with issues that does not fit the actions and character of a serial killer.

Dexter is the best show on TV! Not just cable.

No kidding the manifesto was predictible since he revealed he was the one who sent it about 5 and a half seconds after the mere mention of it. This is hands down the best show on TV, period. Doakes is the much needed polar opposite of Dexter that makes this show fire on all cylinders.

Been watching since day one and can't wait for Sunday's to roll around just to watch. To me, Dexter is the second best show on cable, as I love Curb your enthusiasm a little more. Dexter is an awesome show, but like everything else, people are going to find the little things to pick on. The way that Dexter finds a way out of every situation is great. Everytime you think "they got him!, he manages to find a way. By the way, Dexter is not supposed to be your average serial killer. That is what makes the show. He only kills other killers, and he has "Harry's code". The manifesto was designed to have the feds chasing their tails for a while, however it blew up in his face. If you watched from day one, it makes things easier to understand.

Considering what happened in last Sunday's episode, I have a feeling this Sunday's is going to have an even higher rating. All hell is just about to break loose...
