Come on Hollywood, Make These Movies Already! I was working on this sweet list of movies I want to see and don't understand why Hollywood is taking so long to get them rolling - and then all of a sudden three (four if you count the Ghostbusters game) of them were announced. All of the announcements sort of killed my motivation in continuing on, but it's still a pretty complete list. I don't think I missed anything major, what do you think? Click here and enjoy,

Lolz... ermmm nty, none... i don't wanna see any of that crap come back or get remade expect jeepers creepers! im a huge fan of the creeper and a huge supporter no matter how bad the films are... and for the rest? i don't bother wasting my time and money on stupi little films that make school girls squeal... but i reckon you should of had something like... roadkill 2... or...carrie 3... which will never happen... but ye, anyways...

I agree with most of your film wishes Mr. D, but why in the world would you want Phantasm to be remade? Talk about a disaster waiting to happen. I'd really rather have none at all if not a part 5.

hwrw the hell is "Freddy vs Jason 2"??????????????????????

Ugh, I totally disagree with a Nightmare prequel. The backstory has been told countless times in the franchise, and they even do a visual in Freddy's Dead. Besides how interesting could a film about a human Freddy Krueger killing lil kids possibly be? The film would be predictable, tired, and uninteresting. The appeal of the Nightmare films are it's supernatural aspects as well as the story. You try and do a prequel, and all of the appealing elements go BYE BYE. Also, there isn't enough people in the world that would want to see this prequel either. So that should answer your question as to "who wouldn't want to see this?". The answer is EVERYBODY.

prequel don't work at the box office. I'm scared 'cause freddy will come back soon but it will be a remake! Don't care i just wanna freddy back!!!

Exactly Francesco, it wouldn't work at the box office. Nobody would give a damn about Freddy before he became a dream demon. There just wouldn't be a viable or strong story to merit a prequel film. It worked better as backstory exposition at best. It is totally not FILM material.

I'm sure there was talk recently of a Colossus: Forbin Project remake...

Escape from Earth, with Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken

I think Freddy may end up being the one horror icon that avoids the remake machine. I wonder how Freddy, Jason, etc. will be thought of in 50 years. Will it be like Dracula & Frankenstein's monster or will they be forgotten?

francesco
5:43am, November 23, 2007

they'll never be forgotten. jason myers and freddy are classic. i'm pretty sure they'll never stop to make remake and sequels. think about jason...he will get an apperiance on the 10th episode of supernatural. They'll be like frankestein and dracula.

wouldnt mind ghostbusters 3, another nightmare on elm street. i say they should bring back for the freddy film all of the victims that survived (alice her son jacob, nancy, (yaya iknow she died in the third one, but she started in new nightmare, crap i forget her kids name, cant think of her name from the dream child but the black chick(.....wouldnt mind seeing MEG either

Are you ppl fuc*ing joking? "escape from earth"????? "carrie 3"?????? the genre needs more original/unique movies instead of stupid sequels and remakes, but that just wont happen, and dont think for 5 secs they wont remake "nightmare" because they will....horrorchick81 had a good call "meg" would kick ass 4 sure, the book was cool, and if it was done right, the movie would be awesome, good call,horrorchick....

pissing_lasers
1:28pm, November 23, 2007

btw,"indianapolis" would be awesome as well, but sh*t ideas like "phantasm 50" or "saw 100" are retarded ppl who start these rumors that get made into crap movies need to be shot ... and if you dont agree and cant see where i'm coming from, then pop a mydol....

deadfactory

Hell yeah, Evil Dead 4 and Phantasm 5/remake. I can't understand these hollywood assholes either. They don't give a shit about fans at all, rumors come about, some true, then if they are true the studio and or greedy ass filmmakers go back on what they said. This gets so damned old. Maybe we need like the biggest fucking petition ever made, or something. I worn out with studios. Sam Raimi makes me very mad, i like the guy, but holy crap. its been about 15 years since Ash was on screen, that is bull shit!

pissing_lasers
5:05pm, November 23, 2007

True dat,at least "evil dead" wasnt rammed down ppl's throats with 50 lame as sh*t sequels right? only 3 movies,so part 4 would prolly be much bigger than a remake

HighlyTENSE

You know what the most pathetic thing is? New Line stalled the production of MEG to make a sequel to Rush Hour and will continue to be stalled with this remake of Friday the 13th. They don't have any desire to make an original film. Bunch of dumbasses.

These hired guns in Hollywood don't have a clue. Who was banging down anybodys door for an It's Alive remake? Hack/Slash hasn't been made in two years because they hired a writer/director who'd rather be a big shot than make a movie. After Rogue was sold to Universal I'll be amazed if those movies in production ever see the light of day. Nobody complains about Indy movies stalling because they're too busy MAKING THEM.

"Are you ppl fuc*ing joking? "escape from earth"????? "carrie 3"?????? the genre needs more original/unique movies instead of stupid sequels and remakes" - No, the genre needs *good* movies; originality has fuck all to do with it

Who ever said about another Carrie i way of track. Carrie 2 was crap. They never should have made another to the original. Jeepers Creepers 3 I would like to see because in Jeepers Creepers 2 I didn't feel that was the way for the creeper to go out. And it just will keep living every 23 years and the old man with the spear waiting is gonna die soon if you consider his age and the man's son is a spring chicken either. And some of the movies you stated thier franchise is dead. Freddy's is besides crossover movies with Jason. The way im seeing it is no matter how much I hate to the horror the way its going is not going to last in terms of genre because nobody is making a decent horror movie. I know horror movies get bad reviews more than anything else because some reviews hate horror but I mean people open your eyes we are no down to the bottom of the horror barrel and we need somebody to fill it. The way I take it Remakes are death to horror franchises it is like one last scare to the fans before the book is closed. After the Halloween remake the Weinstien said they won't make another unless it is something very different. Well how different does it need to be I mean honestly. I no most people hated it but I liked the Halloween remake. But now since they decided to green light the remake so early this is thier only option to make a sequel to the remake. Now that everybody got a taste of the new breed of Halloween they don't won't to see a sequel to Halloween Ressurection. Jason movies are on the same boat as Freddy after the remake crossovers or remake sequel are the only option. We need to find some way we can keep the original horror icons in movies but good ones and also have good new stuff instead of the straight up gore from Hostel. I don't know how but that is what we horror fans need to do to make the barrel of horror full and plentiful again.

Yeah,"Meg" needs to be made for certain, and the EFX need to be fuc*ing earth-shattering,how awesome would that be?

deadfactory

Well, i like the list of movies that should be made. I thought a list of movies that shouldn't be made would be appropriate. 1. Any film Eli Roth would have a hand in. 2. Any film with the word "scream" in it. 3. Saw V 4. Saw VI 5. ANYTHING from New Line 6. Anything with Brett Ratner involved..ugh..... the list goes on, but after actaully typing out Brett Ratner i got a sudden chill of disgust, that man is a dumb ass.
