Inside you'll find this week's Horror In Your House, which will fill you in on DVD releases for Tuesday, November 20. It's always a little depressing after Halloween as the lists get worse and worse as all the studios begin releasing films for the holidays. This week carries a lot of releases, but nothing that really stands out. Tex has a few picks of the week, so read on and see what he recommends.

Blood Flood (GRAVE OF THE VAMPIRE, HOUSE OF EVIL, GURU THE MAD MONK): Retromedia/Image

Join your horror hostess Morella as she reveals her All-Night Spooktacular Dusk-to-Dawn Horror-thon! First, GRAVE OF THE VAMPIRE stars William Smith and Michael Pataki in one of the strangest vampire films ever as a mother impregnated by a vampire cuts herself in order to feed her newborn son, who grows up to hunt down his bloodsucking dad! Then Boris Karloff heads south of the border to Mexico for HOUSE OF EVIL, where he plays the patriarch of a dysfunctional family killed off one at a time by murderous toys! Karloff works the old pipe organ for all its worth as the place burns to the ground. Finally, what's a creepy night at the movies without something from schlockmeister par excellence, Andy Milligan? Here Morella unveils GURU, THE MAD MONK, the only Milligan opus filmed in 35mm. Marvel at the bad acting and threadbare historical costuming (reportedly created by the director himself!) and cringe at the blood and gore in an assault on the senses that will leave you reeling!

Bloody School Girls Triple Feature (GIRLS NITE OUT, ONE DARK NIGHT, DUCK: THE CARBINE HIGH MASSACRE): Shriek Show/Media Blasters

GIRLS NIGHT OUT—The day after a homecoming basketball game and victory party, an all-night scavenger hunt is held on the campus of a small Ohio college. Amongst the backdrop of Campus shenanigans the school mascot is murdered and his bear costume taken by a psychotic killer. Stalking several cheerleaders and killing them in variety of creative ways, the murderer’s identity stays hidden by the playful panda costume. The campus security officer Mac whose daughter was a victim of a similar killer, tries to find out who’s behind it before more killings continue.

ONE DARK NIGHT—As a final act of initiation into a high school sorority called The Sisters, Julie Wells must spend the night locked in the local mausoleum. The other members don't plan on making it easy for her and sneak in, intent on scaring poor Julie half to death. Unfortunately, the mausoleum happens to be the not-so-resting place of the recently buried Karl Raymar, a psychic vampire who believed that death was the key to unlocking the full extent of his horrific powers. Trapped in the mausoleum with the reawakening Raymar, Julie and The Sisters are now in for the most terrifying night of their lives.

DUCK! THE CARBINE HIGH MASSACRE—A gruesome and grim satirical portrayal of two teenage social outcasts, and what led them to open fire on their fellow students and teachers before killing themselves. This cruel and gory film, the first made about the high school shooting phenomena was considered so controversial it landed the filmmakers in jail!

Nearly a PICK OF THE WEEK—considering the dearth of descent titles coming this Tuesday. If you haven’t seen Director Bill Hellfire’s DUCK! THE CARBINE HIGH MASSACRE, you’re missing the only film in 30-years to really nail down a true transgressive punk ethic. This post-Columbine High School commentary deserves to be on your radar.

Darkness Surrounds Roberta: Cinema Image

A beautiful, but deeply troubled ex-painter named Roberta fills her days with erotic games and guiltless theft until one dark night when she is kidnapped. It seems a deranged art fan has an offer Roberta can't refuse and before long the beautiful ladies of Florence are slashed, sliced and diced all as part of a frightening plan.

Dr. Jekyll’s Dungeon of Death: Crazy Flicks Entertainment

Beneath the quaint spender of a San Francisco mansion there lurks an unspeakable evil—Dr. Jekyll’s Dungeon of Death! There, deep in the bowels of his underground lab, Jekyll conducts a bloody experiment with human life in desperate attempts to recreate his great grandfather’s secret serum. Assisted by his lobotomized sister and a giant black cripple, Jekyll searches the dark streets of night for unsuspecting victims who are to become his tortured guinea pigs.

Drive-In Massacre: Crazy Flicks Entertainment

A restless crowd and a cheezy double feature lead to two brutal killings at a drive-in! Detective Koch and O’Leary assemble a mixed cast of suspects that would make even Charlie Chan cringe. Is it the deranged knife-thrower, the foul-mouthed bigot, the projectionist, the janitor or the pathetic voyeur? Cold razor-sharp steel slices through warm flesh and hot blood squirts over the screen as patrons are splattered across the hoods of cars and even dismembered at the concession stand!

Hate 2 O: Tartan

When Olivia and four of her friends travel to a remote cottage by a murky lake to undergo a weeklong, detoxifying water fast, they have no idea their health retreat will turn into a deadly nightmare. With no food, electricity or connection to the outside world, the days become long—and the nights become terrifyingly longer as they realize the water around them holds horrific secrets.

I Am Omega: Asylum

In a futuristic dystopia, a lethal plague has killed or mutated every human on Earth except one. Now, the planet's solitary survivor finds himself in an ongoing battle with the horrific mutants who have taken control of the planet. Forced to fight or be killed by the creatures’ intent on eliminating him, he has only his wits—and his deadly fighting skills—to help him stay alive.

It Happened at Nightmare Inn: Crazy Flicks Entertainment

Inspired by PSYCHO! - In this eerie thriller, a woman searches for her estranged relatives. Trouble ensues when she stops at a tiny Spanish roadhouse run by two old maid sisters. The sisters are very religious and the low morals of the foreign tourist girl is just too much for them. So, when the cultures clash between the visitor and the two sisters, there will be hell to pay!

The Killing Kind: Dark Sky

Paroled from prison, sex offender Terry returns to the Hollywood boarding house of his mother Thelma—a former dancer with unwholesome ideas about tender loving care. Escaping Thelma s suffocating attentions by peeping on pretty tenant Lori, Terry is unaware that he is being spied on by a neighbor who keeps a place in her own fantasies for someone of Terry s special talents. Meanwhile, terrible things are happening to anyone who has ever done Terry wrong, from the judge who sentenced him to the girl whose testimony put him behind bars.

Nosferatu: The Ultimate Edition: Kino (TEX’S PICK OF THE WEEK)

A cornerstone of the horror film, F.W. Murnau s NOSFERATU is triumphantly reborn in this breathtaking new restoration by the F.W. Murnau Foundation. Backed by an orchestral performance of Hans Erdmann s 1922 score (recorded in 5.1 stereo surround), Kino International edition presents Murnau s masterpiece in this all-new restored HD transfer with unprecedented clarity and faithfulness to the original release version.

This is THE PICK OF THE WEEK—if you don’t own it…why not?

Queer Fear 5-Pack (OCTOBER MOON, GIRLFRIENDS, BAD MOVIE POLICE #1: GALAXY OF THE DINOSAURS, SOMETHING TO SCREAM ABOUT, JULIA WEPT): Tempe Entertainment

Tempe Entertainment brings together the very best of gay & lesbian horror-cult independent cinema. A straight man’s obsession with his gay boss becomes deadly in OCTOBER MOON (2006). Lesbian serial killers prey on unwitting men in GIRLFRIENDS (1994). A space captain holds a secret in BAD MOVIE POLICE CASE #1: GALAXY OF THE DINOSUARS (2004). Study what it takes to be a “scream queen” in SOMETHING TO SCREAM ABOUT (2004). And top it off with the dark tale of two women whose lives intertwine after a fatal car accident in JULIA WEPT (2000).

Scream…and Die: Jef Films

While accompanying her petty thief boyfriend to loot a house in a nearby forest, Valerie witnesses a brutal murder and barely escapes with her life. When she returns with help the following day, she's shocked to discover the house has disappeared.

Stir of Echoes: The Homecoming: Lionsgate

A National Guard captain returns from Iraq to find himself haunted by visions of the civilians he accidentally killed during his tour of duty in the war-torn nation. Losing his grip on his family as well as his sanity, the beleaguered veteran enlists the help of a psychic to silence the spirits -- but it turns out the seer is as sick as the vet, who now realizes he must resort to drastic measures.

Termors (HD-DVD): Universal

Just as Val McKee and Earl Bassett decide to leave Perfection, Nevada, strange rumblings prevent their departure. With the help of a shapely seismology student, they discover their desolate town is infested with gigantic man-eating creatures that live below the ground.

Velvet Vampire: Crazy Flicks Entertainment

Climax after climax of terror and desire...where the living change places with the dead. - Considered to be a cult horror classic, follow 'THE VELVET VAMPIRE' as sleepy-eyed nice guy Lee and his vapid but pretty wife, Susan, accept the invitation of mysterious vixen to visit her secluded desert estate. Tensions arise when the couple, unaware that Diane is really a centuries-old vampire, becomes objects of the pale skinned temptress' seductions. She kills one and hunts down the other until the Velvet Vampire falls from grace.

Zombie Town: MTI

When a mysterious parasite turns the residents of a small town into flesh-craving zombies, Jake and his ex-girlfriend must flee the creepy undead. But with their only escape route blocked, how will they survive? Will Jake's trigger-happy rival help them get out alive, or will he be their downfall?

You've got to be kidding about "Duck". That has got to be the worse movie I've seen in a long time. It's like a bad high school play put to film. but then again, that's an insult to high school plays.

Nowhere in my statement did I say it was a "good" film. I said it needed to be seen. The director had some huge balls to make it (it was shot weeks after Columbine. For the record...I think it's still better than "Elephant"
