Comprised of 45 paintings and 30 works on paper, this show is a mixture of new works, and other works referencing the Abarat series of books, two of five of which have been released to date. Barker's paintings are realist works in a highly expressive style of layered impasto and deeply worked fields of color. There is a 32 page, color catalog accompanying the exhibition.
Clive's the man. Met him twice and he's the sweetest fucker out there. Major props to Mr. Barker.
