Horror pic La habitacion de Fermat (Fermat’s Room; trailer), the feature debut of Spanish helmers Luis Piedrahita and Rodrigo Sopena, has been bought for Japan by Shochiku, for the U.K. by Revolver Ent. and for Turkey by A Plus Films, according to Variety. The Shochiku deal is an achievement; flooded by domestic productions, Japan has proved far tougher to crack than the U.S. when it comes to Spanish pics. In “Room,” four math experts are pitched number-crunching time-tests in a contracting chamber by an unknown killer.
