QED Intl. has picked up international sales rights to the psychological thriller Walled In starring Mischa Barton, Deborah Kara Unger and Cameron Bright, according to Variety. Based on Serge Broselot's best-selling French novel "Les Emmures," story centers on a demolition company rep (Barton) who supervises the razing of a mysterious building and discovers horrifying secrets and past inhabitants entombed within its walls by a vicious murderer. Film marks the English-language debut of French director Gilles Paquet-Brenner ("Gomez and Tavares," "Les Jolies Choses"), who also penned the screenplay, and represents the first production financed and produced by Leomax Entertainment. Production is under way in Canada on the French-Canadian co-production.
