Columbus Short (Stomp the Yard) revealed to BlackFilm that he will star in Quarantine, Sony Screen Gems' remake of the Spanish-language film [Rec], with Jay Hernandez (Hostel), Jennifer Carpenter (Exorcism of Emily Rose), Steve Harris, and Jonathan Schaech (Prom Night, Living Hell). The film will be directed by John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle (The Poughkeepsie Tapes). The film is about this camera operator, a journalist, a fireman and a cop trapped inside an apartment building after a deadly strain of rabies breaks out in the city of Los Angeles.
