A little over a week ago SpookyDan went out to Toronto to check out the first hour of Lionsgate's Saw IV and to chat with the stars in the latest Jigsaw puzzle. If you head on over to BDTV you can watch video interviews with Tobin Bell, Scott Patterson, Lyriq Bent and Betsy Russell. You can check out all of our SAW IV video coverage by clicking here and get ready to play Jigsaw's latest game tomorrow! Oh yes, there will be blood.
Sorry for you people in the states I just came from Saw 4 what can I said some will hate it some will love it and some will be lost but the movie is brutal blood guts and anything else hope you will enjoy it
No. Dr Gordon did NOT make a physical appearance. Just showed John walking into the office to be told he had cancer. OVERALL RESULT: GREAT MOVIE! I was not confused at all. IF u see it and have questions, I'll answer it. I was right. I knew who would do what, but one thing did surprise me. The Black Guy Lived! But basically, the entire movie or the majority of it is a flashback. From the finding of Det. Kerry up til "Game Over" was a flashback. But from the autopsy, we know there will be a Saw V. There had better be. The traps were great. You could tell the blood was CGI in a lot of scenes, but the set up and story and ending twist were great! I saw it 1st thing in the morning at 11:15 wit my boys (fellow Billy fans lol) and we only have one question: Was the little girl Jeff's or not?------------And now, on to the movie's explaination...
The majority of the movie was a flashback. Jill nor Det Hoffman are the "new" Jigsaw as I have said over and over. I knew Hoffman would be assisting Jigsaw in the end anyway (what else would explain his pocketing evidence from The Bomb Trap victim crime scene?) I'm trippin on how Jigsaw has a deep throat! He swallowed the whole damn tape! Wow. The note that Jigsaw wrote Amanda was a "break up" letter. You know, a "what we had was guud, but..." type letter. Just that either she wasnt the only special someone in Jigsaw's life or that she had just been replaced. Jig just had Hoffman place it for him. She was too jealous. And the whole "Dont kill Lynn, she's more important than you think/ Lynn holds your life in her hands" thing was that if she killed Lynn, Jeff would be as pissed as he was (pop to the neck). Well Jeff didnt find his daughter. I'm kinda mad Saw 4 didnt open at that moment like I thought it would or should have. At one moment, Darren got me guud. I thought Jeff, the new agent, and Rigg were in the same building at the same time. That was three different time sequences. Or the monitors in the Final Test room covered more than one area, unless they all happened at different times. I did wanna see the Lawyer's neck get clamped by the trap on his neck, but the bullet to the head was guud too. I'm glad we'll see Rigg again. He didnt die, and hopefully he find's his girl. Nice briefcase scene thinkin her head was in there. That was guud Darren. And the limb tearing trap was cool. So if he would've pushed the same button twice he would have gotten free I suppose. Things couldve went from bad to really bad (losing both eyes) but they went from bad to worse (the sick bastard puppy wont be climbin on anyone else on all fours anymore). The girl who got Michael Jordan'ed the hard way...that was nice as fuck. I thought the bitch (the character not the actor, cuz she or someone who know's her may read this), was crazy comin at a black man that just saved you and your scalp. I wouldve grabbed wat was left of her hair and tossed her ass too! Anyway, the classroom scene wit the Vital Parts of the Body Trap was good too. So she was the one apologizin on the preview. She survived, which is guud to see someone can still come out alive besides Amanda and the lawyer from the opening and closing scenes. OH And the lil harpoon gun that shot the officer thru the face into the chalkboard, I DID NOT SEE THAT COMIN!!! Nor did I expect Billy to blow up in someone's face like he did. Billy Snapped!!! I actually thought he would slap her while sittin in the candles when she got too close. Like, "Back Up Bitch!!!" Like somethin out of Scary Movie 4. But blowing off his own face into another person's, that was nice. Well, Det Hoffman has Jeff's girl and we dont know where she is, Riggs lost his girl, Daniel's dad Eric has his head on ice for a while (which I'm glad they did go wit the "he's still alive" story and not that Amanda hacked him apart in rage), and Jill is still alive. I think she will and in some way carry on Jigsaw's work in Saw 5 and 6. She's still got interconnected ppl to fuck with lol. See you for the next two years. Darren, keep it up homey! You did (doing) a hell of a job!
OH And Cecil's Knives tripped me out. Check out Jigsaw wit the sidestep!!! Cecil Speared a case of Razor Wire. That was nice. OH and I aint forgot the glass container full of broken glass! Why was that only an appearence? Why wasnt there anyone in there? Damnit! Ok well thats it for now, Thanks for your time.
I didn't like how they didn't really tell Jeff's story. Although I really loved this movie I was waiting for them to tell Jeff's part. They finally show him then he is shot by Detective Strahm. Now I can't wait till they make Saw V. Plus the ending is still confusing.
i was a bit confused to say the least. didnt get the ending at all. how was jigsaw bein autopsy'd if at the end of the film the detective got locked in the room??? i love the saw movies but som1 please explain this fim to me!!
The writing wasn't as good as the other movies, but Darren Lynn Bousman is just getting better as the series goes on. Too bad he's out for Saw V and VI.
Yeah the Glass Case Jigsaw had after Jill walked out will or should definately be in 5 or 6. The ending is NOT confusing. You're makin it harder than it is. The autopsy is shown at the beginning and the end to show that the entire movie in between is a flashback to Pre-Saw 1 and the "other" story(s) behind Saw 2 and 3. For instance, the guy who SLAPPED THE FUCK OUTTA CECIL (the guy who got his eye blowed out thru the peep hole in Saw 2), the prostitute that tried to holla at John/Jigsaw outside in the car (ol girl from Saw 2 wit the antidote in the glass wit the razored wrist trap), etc. All of that was to introduce who and how he got everyone connected and tested like he did. Most of the ending is not to be fully explained anyway. We got TWO more movies to see, and since when has any Saw fully explain everything up front?! Hell, we still may have questions after we see Saw 6 (God forbid). The detective gets locked in the room at the end (or so we think, cuz Det. Hoffman actually just closed the door), and we'll prolly see wat happens to him in Saw 5, cuz when he did get locked in there, he was locked in with Jigsaw's dead body, and someone had to have gotten them (Jigsaw, the det., Amanda, Jill and Jeff) out one way or another. As a matter of fact, at the end of S3 after Jills neck brace activated, the close closed automatically in the Detective's face and stayed that way, until later when the Detective was in the room himself and Det. Hoffman closed it and left. We dont know if the door locks only from the inside or not. I'll see it again Thurs. Anyway, I think Rigg is still alive and will continue on with his story in 5ive and 6ix. The same way in Thr3e when Jigsaw was in the hospital bed and looked right at Amanda and said he wanted to play a game and was talkin TO Amanda directly, the same goes for the tape Det. Hoffman listened to in the autopsy. He thinks he got a lil power cuz Jigsaw is dead and he played helper for a lil while. The game's aren't over. Det. Hoffman will get his! This better be a quick two years!
And where the hell is Chrisby. I bet she had a heart attack or somethin from seeing Det. Matthews last scene. LMAO!!! HE DIDNT WANNA PLAY ANYMORE!!! I Think that was a serious line. He didnt wanna be in the movie. He wont make it to Saw 5 I bet!!! Flashback that why dont ya!!!
