After the Poltergeist remake debacle - which is still a fact no matter what any jackass says - we've been hesitant to reveal that there are rumblings in Hollywood about a remake to the scariest film ever made... The Exorcist. Today IESB received an e-mail from a scooper who attended this past weekend's International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival who claims that original star Linda Blair hinted at the possibilities of a remake. Maybe there's something to the buzz? Watch for some sort of follow up as soon as it hits the web and make sure to sign us up for the first ones against the idea. VETO!
well i dont mind remakes because the originals are not being touched.
I hate when people say remakes ruin the original, last time i checked this is a remake is a totally different film.So although i think its the most stupid idea Warner Bros could ever think of i say who cares.
dammn and im so surprised cause first every 80's movie is getting remade. first it was halloween, next its gonna be Child's Play,Hellraiser,Friday the 13th, Cannibal Holocaust, Battle Royal, The Blob, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Fly, Chopping Mall etc. seriously all of these movies are gonna get a remake sooner or later
Someone has jumped to major conclusions here... this is a total RUMOUR and stems from the video interview on my site (www.captainhowdy.com) where Linda talks about PAST remake discussions (BEFORE the prequel(s) were made).
Well, to do it right they will have to have a spider walk scene. Also, the original contains two very famous movie quotes: "the power of Christ compells you" and "she advised that I keep my fingers away from her goddamn cunt". A remake won't be the same without them.
