While covering the black carpet for last night's Spike TV Scream Awards (photos) we had the pleasure of talking to the beautiful Christa Campbell who stars in the upcoming remake of Day of the Dead. She tells B-D exclusively that the film is now slated for theatrical release in February of 2008. Watch for more news as it comes in. The original follows a group of scientists and military personnel holed up in an underground bunker because the world above is overrun with zombies. The lumbering flesheaters eventually find a way in and wreak havoc on the scientists who've been experimenting on their undead brethren.
wasnt this suppose to come out like in 2005! well i saw the trailer of this movie... and it looks like it sucks =/

Obviously a lot of work on the film has been done.
The trailer must have been some early footage crapped together for production reasons.
There's still a little hope in my mind that this film might be worth anything-
It looked pretty stupid. Unless I see a much better trailer then I won't see it in theaters.
I can't wait for Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead in 2009 though.
