'Saw V' & 'Saw VI' Shooting Back-to-Back, Year Off?

Bloody-Disgusting learned of some really interesting information last night that was quasi-confirmed. We know for a fact that Lionsgate is now planning on shooting both Saw V and Saw VI back-to-back with David Hackl attached to direct (details here), but something we're awaiting confirmation on is whether or not Jigsaw is taking a year off to breathe. We were told that as of right now Lionsgate is planning on skipping October 2008 for the next Saw film, although that news is yet to be confirmed. Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, who wrote Saw IV, is developing the screenplays for both sequels. The fourth installment hits theaters October 26.

WHY the fuck do you people constantly complain? Is there someone in your life forcing you to go see these films? Is baby Jesus telling you to see these films? Is Jigsaw himself forcing you to watch these films? There are other people who like them, otherwise they wouldn't keep out performing their predecessors (based on opening weekend totals). If you don't like them, fine, but just because you don't doesn't mean everyone doesn't. Stop shitting on everyone others' parade.

Complaining about other people's creations allows them to feel better about having not made anything creative or meaningful of their own.

Yup and Michael Myers takes Winchestertonfieldville, Iowa will be out soon. WHO CARES! If they make money there will be more made. Instead of complaining just pick and choose the films you watch a little better. Ignore news about the saw franchise if it makes you have a bad day.

May i remind you dipshits that saw is in the top ten most successful horrors ever made in all time.... that from a budget of like 3 million they can make these films... and earn over 100 million back....point is... like darren said... there's a story behind the blood and gore... and what makes saw one of the most successful horrors ever is that... its new... i mean jesus christ these are two meblounre boys who were struggling to go through college ione day and millionair the next... its a complete new style of horror... and its fun to see all the contraptiosn to coem up with... its good to see a person liek jigsaw dieing ofcancer who you think is pittyful and weak but in fact probably holds the key to ur life... and if you really want to bag the shit out of sumthing bag star wars... thats what its all originated off... everyone copys star wars... buffy the vampire slayer, home and away... its all just the fun of an empire and a ridsing apprentice with a rising empire... thats all it is... and if you ask me ITS THE BEST FUCKING THING EVER TO HIT CINEMAS!!! so leave saw the fuck alone!!! dipshits...

I really don't want to start a conversation wheater they should release another sequel or not. They are, so - no point. ^^ I didn't get it. I read the news... but wont their be SAW V for 2008? Or will Tobin Bell just not show up for Part 5?

First one was cool - even though it kinda felt seven, But now all these sequels are just getting a bit played out. by Saw 5 - Direct to video.

For those of you who are complaining so much that they won't stop making sequels, If you don't care about this franchise, then why are you reading this article? Everyone was complaining that Saw 4 shouldn't have been made and that it should have ended at part 3 but you all know we can't get enough Saw News. What's the big deal?

It's so unexciting to announce sequels ahead of time like this. It's stupid really. Might as well just say...."We will be taking more money from you on these certain dates, cause we have convinced you that these are really good movies and you'll continue to eat it up"

horrorchick81
10:15am, October 17, 2007

cool...wonder what the storyline for saw six will be. wonder if tobin bell will return as jigsaw or have a new jigsaw.

If before Friday the 13th part 4 came out, do you think Paramount ever would have said "Just wait for part 8, where Jason will actually go to New York!" Hell no. It makes you feel like they're just leading you along as long as financially possible. With Saw, that's exactly what they're doing. They don't have a full storyline or script for 5 or 6 yet, so they really shouldn't have announced both. I understand why they'd make a 5 and 6 (the series is so financially profitable), but still...announcing it that far in advance kind makes me less interested in the series overall.

WOO..First one to ten wins! Just like Friday the 13th! Keep that MONEY TRAIN ROLLIN!

It sucks that they keep making tons of these, and that there planning on making 100 of them. I know we are not forced to watch them, but we are forced to see the trailers non stop on t.v.,at the movies during the previews, ads on posters, magazines, bilboards, pop ups online, etc. about the movies all the time. That why I want them to stop making these movies, because I'm sick of seeing them mention these movies whereever I look.

2:14am, October 18, 2007

The thing that bothers me most about this news is that they aren't even waiting for Saw 4 to come out and see how it does. Slow down a little fellas! Wait and see how part 4 does before you announce parts 5-19! Then again,it's all about milking every last drop from a franchise that should've been laid to rest already(um,see the Hannibal Lecter series).

enuff with the saw's. there fucking getting boring stop MAKING THEM!

If i could give an oppinion. I am another "saw" Franchise fanatic. Plotwise, my favorite was the first one, i beleive when it comes to shock and twists, the 3rd one wins the metal. From what they say, the fourth is supposed to be the best but i do agree with the people who say they should stop making them. I think at the 5th or sixth movie they should wrap it up and then maybe pick it up again possible 5 or ten years later. I love the movies but unless they have new ideasother than traps (Hopefully 4 will do that) then i will rest happy.

I LOVED the first one, Hated the second one and LOVED the third one. Hey, If they can keep making the money fuckin letem. Geeze people have too much time on their hands to sit and bitch and complain about making another sequel. If you don't like it don't watch it.

hey man, i'm totally with you on this. I loved the movies. I think they all bring something to the table. I just would hope that when the traps get old something even more exciting would come into play. I think that everyone would agree that everything can be improved no matter how ingenious these movies are. I'm not here to bash these movies like pissing_laser or those other pussies.
