This past April DreamWorks unleashed their quasi-Rear Window remake Disturbia, which starred teen heartthrob Shia LaBeouf. Before even heading to DVD the movie took in an insane $115 million worldwide theatrical. We received word this morning that a sequel to the film is now being worked on, no word on who's attached to write. In the first LaBeouf plays a teen serving a home-detention sentence. He begins to observe a neighbor and suspects the man is a serial killer. Morse plays the suspected murderer.
The first one was brilliant. A sequel would just be pointless, non-connected crap. It'd be exactly the same thing in a different town with a different kid and a different killer.
No thank you.
yeah, i'm afraid the sequel won't be able to match what the original did. now, if they have a shirtless scene of shia, or an ass shot, then hell, it would be perfect!
I wonder what Hitchcock film they will steal from this time. Vertigo? Dial M For Murder? I can see it now: Shia and the hot neighbor chick get married but he soon finds out she is cheating on him. So he blackmails his old Asian friend into killing her... But everything goes wrong!
The first one was good, not great, but a sequel sounds awful.
