New Line has hired Laeta Kalogridis (Bionic Woman) to sink her teeth into a major overhaul of its Darksiders vampire tale, according to Variety. The story revolves around an FBI agent who teams up with a bunch of bloodsuckers to catch an arms trader with biochemical weapons. Jonathan Hensleigh was originally attached to write and direct. Once Kalogridis finishes her rewrite, the project will go back out to directors. Several helmers have been attached to the project over the past few years, including Hensleigh and David Goyer. New Line acquired the spec by Tom S. Parker and Jim Jennewein in 2001.
