I don't know if you noticed but the news has been spewing out this week and pretty much anything we post gets bumped right off the page the next day - so we decided to squeeze three small news bits into one post. First, Dimension Films has announced an October 17, 2008 release date for their remake of Scanners, which Darren Lynn Bousman (Saw II-Saw IV) is attached to helm; a scooper at AICN reports that Len Wiseman is off of the remake of Escape From New York with Brett Ratner (sigh) replacing him; lastly Warner Bros. has launched the official website for their adaptation of I Am Legend, which hits theaters December 14. OH GOD, NOT RATNER! ANYONE BUT HIM. jesus christ, what the hell are these people thinking? I'm going to want to go see that, then im going to shove sharp objects in my ears and eyes like i was restrained from doing after X-men 3.
Seriously funny stuff. Darren Lyn Bousman is such a hack. He isn't worthy to clean Cronenberg's toilet.
