I liked it....definetly one of his best actually, if you consider the shoe-string budget that he had to work with. The last 45 minutes is full of surprises, that I personally did not see coming. When compared to "I Spit On Your Grave" I think Last House wins out, strictly because it clearly has the superior story....it's not just one large rape scene, at least Last House has depth and interesting characters to boot...

It was a shocking movie when it originally came out but with the shit we see in movies and on the news today, it is terribly dated and weak compared to everything else. That is why it no longer has any impact and is a pretty boring movie.

Watched it maybe 2 times in like 2 years and tried for a 3rd and stopped about 1/4 through. the movie kind of sucks and if not for the ending well then the moviewould have sucked tremendously.

I havent watched I Spit on your Grave in about 1 year as well. ******SPOILER********* I also cringe when she cuts his cock off in the tub damn I have a tough time watching that scene. I couldnt even imagine or think what the uck i would do, thats just horrible man.

I thought it was a great movie.

Did anyone notice that in Cabin Fever and Last House On The Left they both used alot of the same music?

i own the movie. i really like it.

See when i watched it, i put myself back into the 70's. In reality, there were a lot of cuts to the movie because theatres were repulsed by it, and thought that it was lewd. When watching, really put yourself back into that time, i think there were some really intense scenes, like where the one guy makes her urinate herself. it's more about the mindset, and how she is beside her house the whole time.

I really enjoyed the film. Wes Craven's first!

I agree. I bought it, watched it once, and have no desire to watch it again.

Hell yeah, brother..you have your choice of a horror story on almost every news channel..and sadly, unlike the movies, the FX we see on the news are VERY real and people DO die, there are no stuntmen

Anyhow, between LHOTH and I Spit On Your Grave, ISOYG was a bit colder in terms of the revenge. That bathtub scene made me wince (not to mention Lorena Bobbitt was probably watching this when she got HER brilliant idea..) Also, drawing my opinion from personal exp. I met the lady who played in ISOYG at onew of the Chiller cons' and she's the last person you'd expect to see do a film like this..couple that with the fact that looks are decieving, and it chills you a bit.
