Default The Purge (2013)

From the producers of Sinister, Insidious, and Paranormal Activity. Starring Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey, in theaters May 31st.

Synopsis...
Quote:
In an America wracked by crime, the government has sanctioned an annual 12-hour period in which any and all criminal activity—including murder—is legal. The police can’t be called. Hospitals suspend help. It is one night when the citizenry regulates itself without thought of punishment. On this night plagued by violence and an epidemic of crime, one family wrestles with the decision of who they will become when a stranger comes knocking.

This is a bold premise for the makers of such mainstream fare, hope it has the balls to push the concept to the utmost. Sounds great and it could be really intense if done well.

Fuck this pile of shit. Sinister was OK but nothing I'd go out and buy. They do seem to be getting better, but my expectations are now -100%.

Those masks look fucking stupid too.

Your such a negative nancy.

I think the masks look really cool and the premise intrigues me.

Not my fault PA was the worst thing to happen in cinema history. Well, in the top 3.

And eh, I don't like them. Something simpler normally looks better.

They look like Jay Lenno masks.

The idea is cool though.

Now your barking up the wrong tree, I enjoyed the first three PA films.

However, I can understand why they didn't work for some people.

A Jay Leno mask sounds fucking frightening to me.
