Default Sherlock (TV Series)

I'm surprised that I couldn't find a thread for this show, I just watched the entire series recently and I'm hooked, any other fans?

I watch. Incredible show. Very miffed about the creators apathy towards getting a fourth series done. Freeman and Cumberbatch seem stoked to get back to working while they don't seem to care. A shame. With Cumberbatch and Freeman both getting lots of work you would think they would be more concerned about moving on with the show.

I fucking love this show. The writing, the sarcasm, the ridiculous lengths people go to outsmart each other, all of it is shockingly satisfying.

Fortunately, a fourth season has been ordered (along with a special), so we'll see more of it, well eventually.

Where did you read this? All I've heard is that the producers are having a hard time fitting the shooting around Freeman and Cumberbatch's schedule.

I love this show too. All the episodes have been great, and some are absolutely hilarious. Cumberbatch and Freeman are perfectly cast, and I love the 90 minute format of the show.

My favourite show on TV. I've loved it ever since I randomly caught 'A Study in Pink' on BBC Canada after it aired. For what it's worth, it's the only current TV show I buy the blu's of.

Having said that, I would have been fine had it ended after season 2 (not that I haven't enjoyed season 3 and don't eagerly await season 4 and beyond)
Spoiler Below
I wasn't totally satisfied with how he faked his death. Not sure how that story plays out in the source material.

In the books Sherlock actually dies for all intents and purposes, he grabs Moriarty and jumps off the cliff. Conan Doyle was sick of writing the series and decided to kill off the character, his stories were wildly popular so after years of pleading from the publishers (and I'm sure the boat loads of cash they threw at him) Conan Doyle brought Sherlock back, with the somewhat weak explanation that he landed on a outcropping on the cliff and let everyone think he was dead for a few years
