Really?

I don't see why everyone is bitching about it. I mean, it DOES make sense. It took the first life, years, and years and years to build up an immune system to even the most inferior of bacteria. So, the Aliens wouldn't have it for out planet. I thought it was logical.

However, if they buried their tripods here (as I think it's said) they should have known about it, as they were here before.

I don't remember having a gripe with the film at all, but as I've ages I've taken a less liking to it. I haven't watched it for year though.

Despite its vintage, the 1954 version directed by George Pal is still the best.
