A soldier on leave befriends the family of a fallen comrade. He soon becomes a threat to everyone around him when it's revealed he's not who he says he is.

Awesome to see Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett back at work. The V/H/S movies and You're Next were f'ing amazing.

Here's the latest interview with them both at Sundance:

Looking forward to this one. Was impressed with You're Next and A Horrible Way to Die.

Same here! Wingard is becoming a director to keep an eye on, that's for sure.

I wasn't sold on Wingard at first but he knocked it out of the park with A Horrible Way to Die and You're Next.

Can't wait for this one. Hopefully it doesn't take another 2 years to come out.

I'm looking forward to this as well! Although, I'm not sure if Dan Stevens is quite right for the role

I like him, I thought his segment in V//H/S/2 was garbage but I like his other films he's done. I'm looking forward to seeing him in Joe Swanberg's '24 Exposures'which just hit VOD.

Writer-director duo Simon Barrett and Adam Wingard (A Horrible Way to Die, You're Next) serve up a slick, eighties-style action thriller with this story of a mysterious and devastatingly charming visitor (Downton Abbey's Dan Stevens) who arrives at the home of a bereaved family claiming to be the best friend of their dead son.
You 're Next was the tits and this looks no different. Will definitely get this into my system once it becomes available.

It will be featured within this years TIFF's Midnight Madnes segment.

Saw it last night a TIFF and really enjoyed it.

It's a fun as fuck, straightforward, self-aware thriller with a kick-ass 80's vibe. Great characters, especially 'The Guest', and an AMAZING soundtrack.

See it.
