It's extremely well written and has an array of amazing performances. I have never been able to figure out why it's not more popular, but it's amazing. For years it was in my top ten favorite films.

I think it has a perception problem, as people see the plot and think it's going to be a crime thriller full of action. There is a small amount of well-placed action, but it's more a drama that depends on character interaction, so I think it threw people off. I loved it.
