2012/2013 NHL Thread - Page 4 - BLOODY-DISGUSTING

I've been a fan of hockey for 28 years but can't seem to make myself get interested in the season because of the lock out. I was pretty forgiving after the prior lock out but stated that I wouldn't come back so fast the next time around. Looks like that is holding true. I have probably watched about 7 minutes of hockey so far into the young season. I was going to watch more as we have Center Ice free till the end of the month so I could see some of the west coast teams/players I like but the channels have been choppy and nearly unwatchable. I am glad they are back on the ice and not throwing the rest of the season out the window. In fact I like the tighter schedule with 48 games more than the exhausting regular season with over 78? games per team. The current games have more spice in it, since they are closer to the play-offs.

I gotta somehow find a way to get interested again. I though my usual routine of fantasy hockey would get me more invested but I just have trouble finding time to watch games anymore. I have a five day vacation coming up starting Thursday and hope to take time to watch a few games. Always felt the NHL season is about 5-8 games too long. Do like the idea of a smaller game season. Makes every game important at this point as there is less breathing room for slumps to make it to the playoffs.

Last year on his contract and decided he didn't want to play, so I get why they did it.

I hope Chicago blew their wad too early with that winning streak to start the season

My Caps are doing terrible.

I guess this is what it feels like to watch your team not make the playoffs.
