When frightening events start to occur in their home, young couple Kelly (Ashley Greene) and Ben (Sebastian Stan) discover they are being haunted by a presence that was accidentally conjured during a university parapsychology experiment. It looks like a greatest hits montage of the most popular movies from the naughties. I like what I see and hope they kept the shaky POV shots to a minimum.

I like the trailer, hopefully it doesn't turn out to be a turd like The Unborn, One Missed Call, etc..

Take "The Grudge", "The Ring", "Paranormal Activity", throw em in a blender and you get this fine smelling turd.

Yeah, it's safe to say i wont be paying my hard earned money to watch this shit.

0% at rotten tomatoes... and...

Spoiler Below
Spoiler I read about the ending... "Ashley Greene is the only one left, the world has randomly come to an end. She wanders into Costco, gets inside a tent and the ghost gets her just like in the poster. I know it sounds silly but that is literally what happens.".... so the ending is in the trailer, tv spots, AND the fucking poster art.

lol I'm one of the few who don't mind spoilers. It was the numerous reviews that mentioned the film's excessive exposition of cardboard characters that turned me off. Hell, I don't even mind cardboard characters, as long as something resembling horror is delivered for the ENTIRE film.

Default The Apparition

Greetings Fright Knights,

Joshua Langland (The Horror Guru) of Blood Splattered Cinema and myself (Count Jackula) have officially joined The Agony Booth. On our new show "Friday Night Fright Flicks" we review current horror releases using a darkly comedic bent. Think if it as Siskel and Ebert meets Tales From the Crypt. Are these movies ghoulish delights or ghastly disappointments? Join us and find out, cause nothing is more frightening than paying full price for a half-assed horror movie.

Our first outing is Todd Lincoln's debut film, The Apparition. It stars Ashley Greene, Sebastian Stan, and Tom Folwer who you may remember as Alice Cullen from The Twilight Saga, Bucky from Captain America: The First Avenger, and Draco Falfoy from the Harry Potter films, respectively. So you could also call it Second Banana: The Movie. I wonder if bananas scream when you peel them? I bet those Bananas in Pajamas would... I'm going to go find out. In the meantime, enjoy the first episode of Friday Night Fright Flicks.

The Apparition
