Default Body Bags (1993)

"Body Bags".....This is a cool anthology of horror from John Carpenter and Tobe Hooper. Featuring three short stories, the first is "The Gas Station" directed by Carpenter. A typical slasher, and one I absolutely love!! The cast is strong and the directing, atmosphere, and setting are all fantastic!! Next up is "Hair" and also directed by Carpenter. Despite a terrific performance by Stacy Keach, I found this segment to be the least entertaining and a bit boring. The sci-fi aspect is fine, but I just expected more. The third and last story is "Eye" and directed by Tobe Hooper. Mark Hamil(in a hick Southern voice) is also terrific in his role. Atmosphere, gore, directing, and music are all wonderful!! Love this one too!! I also enjoy the cameo appearances by the very handsome David Naughton(AAWIL), Wes Craven, David Warner, Roger Corman, and especially John Carpenter!!

8/10

the creepshow of the 90's. pretty good flick. I too think the (hair) story is the weakest. john carpenter is amusing to watch as he introduces the stories.

Finally released on disc, I bought the bluray when it was released. I think I liked it better when I was a kid, still a decent watch.
