Assassin's Creed: Revelations - My AC marathon in coming to it's conclusion. Unfortunately, I feel this game took out good elements, in favour of terrible ones, in order to make the game feel different. The tower-defense mini-game is just abysmal. If you're going to implement this, do it right, and give me a top-down perspective. I've seen better TD games in the indie section of XBLA. The bomb crafting is alright, but is ultimately unnecessary, and I've pretty much ditched the crafting unless a specific mission calls for it. The hook-blade is cool though. I love everything about it. Long jumps, zip-lining, hooking fools in the eye-socket, it's great.
I can't really comment on the story yet, but so far, it's very familiar. Kill the templars! They're evil, and want to take over the world by some unknown political method, that will be revealed in the last hour of the game. The world looks great as usual, and I pity the fools who had to design it in a platform-friendly way. That is the one thing that always amazes me in these games. The architecture, and how it all works in regard to gameplay. Multiplayer is just plain fun. I am not an MP gamer by any stretch, but this has my attention. Probably due to not really having to have much skill to really enjoy it. It's "fun for all, even if you suck" gameplay. Another nice touch, is that you get a bit of a story told to you as you level up. Overall, I can't really give a final verdict on the campaign, but so far it's more of a good thing, with some annoying experimentations. 7.5/10 Last edited by Heretic; 09-09-2012 at 12:26 PM. |

![]() This game seemed deceptively easy at first. Then, WHAM!, it got fuckdiculously challenging. It is one fucked up but pretty entertaining game.

Just finished The Walking Dead- Episode 2. Thought things were going pretty smooth, then the shit-storm hit. Had to make some pretty tough decisions, but l think they were the right ones...though l think Clementine might be scared of me now.

Between new releases and summer sales at a certain B&M store, the playlist is vast:
Fall of Cybertron, Metroid: Other M (highly underrated), Max Payne 3 and NSMB2. |

I've been playing Mortal Kombat for the 360. I bought the "Kollector's Edition" or whatever it's called. This is probably the best MK game I've ever played, it's great.

Been playing Nier lately. Prob one of the more underrated games this gen. The graphics really aren't up to par for a game this gen. The combat controls are a tab bit off, as well, for an action rpg but you can still have fun with it, using magic and melee at the same time. The game is also kinda small. You only visit a handful of areas the entire game, and it can be beaten in 20hours or under. What it lacks in the more technical aspects of a game, it makes up for tenfold with the absolutely mesmerizing, fantastical score. Gotta be one of the best game scores I've ever heard. Also it has a pretty good story (staple of an rpg), that takes you down a dark road, with some really quality characters.
It might turn some people off, but there was one particular point when you go into a mystical forest and get trapped in a dream, the game pauses itself, and instead of actually playing through the dream, the game becomes a book, and you read the story of what happened when you get trapped. That was actually one of my fav. parts of the game, the story is actually interesting, and once again, the superb score shines as you are reading. It's not for everyone, but if you like traditional jrpgs that focus on story, and score rather than massive areas and loot, and different forms of combat, then check it out. 8/10
