Really good game, but it doesn't touch Symphony of the Night, Harmony of Dissonance, Aria of Sorrow, or even maybe Simons Quest, Circle of the Moon and Super Castlevania. This is in no way knocking the game, it's really excellent. But it's far too easy for a CV game. I only died twice, and that was during 2 optional bosses which you don't even need to fight to beat the game (but I always HAVE to get 100%!!!). I also missed the leveling up aspect, as it means if you want, you can just run on past half the enemies, because it's not like you're going to get more powerful by fighting them. But, those are my only complaints. Konami pulled off a fantastic job making the game feel like a 2D game in a 3D world, and it felt like a CV game, which was my main concern. Now that they have the right formula, they can only get better.

I bought Castlevania: Lament of Innocence the day it came out and I don't even have a Ps2... :P !

My Castlevania collection as it stands right now. All games are complete with box and instructions and game.

Castlevania (NES)
Castlevania 2: Simons Quest (NES)
Castevania 3: Draculas Curse (NES)
Castlevania Adventure (GB)
Super Castlevania 4 (SNES)
Castlevania: Bloodlines (SEGA)
CastleVania: Symphony of the Night (PS)
Castlevania: Chronicles (PS)
Castlevania (N64)
CastleVania: Legacy of Darkness (N64)
Castlevania: Cricle of the Moon (GBA)
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance )GBA)
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA)
Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (PS2)

Games I am missing.

Castlevania: Legends (GB)
Castlevania: Dracula X (SNES)
Castlevania 2: Belmonts Revenge (GB)

Once the Marine Corps pays me I will probably hit up eBay once again and try to complete the collection. The hardest games to get are the original Gameboy games.

Ontop of knowing my favorite system of all times, you now know my favorte game series of all times. Its great to share my nerdness!
