What I love so far:
  • Howler - America Give Up
  • Cloud Nothings - Attack on Memory
  • Herzog - Cartoon Violence
  • Alcest - Les Voyages de l'Âme
  • Pontiak - Echo Ono
  • Les Discrets - Ariettes Oubliees...
  • The Twilight Sad - No One Can Ever Know
  • Black Twig - Paper Trees

I haven't gotten any new music since January so my list is a bit small, but once I have the time I'm sure there'll be a TON I have to catch up on.

So far, this.

Its been 5 years since they released an album and this one is no let down. It is nostalgic and beautiful. If a kaleidoscope could make noise, this is what it would sound like. A perfection of melody is present, and the tunes are unforgettable. The lyrics are fine tuned in a way that mean to invoke deep emotional reactions. This album is what I've been waiting for. I'm happy the Shins are back, its exactly the kind of album I was looking for.

Just found out there are more albums I'm amped for coming out this year than I originally thought starting with Municipal Waste's "Fatal Feast" which comes out in a little less than two weeks. The mighty Pig Destroyer has their first album in over 4 years coming out this summer as do Gojira & Ghost will be releasing their sophomore album at some point this year

Cannibal Corpse - Torture

This album is incredible, even death metal fans who usually dont like CC are sure to find something to whip their neck too on this one.
