Leatherface IS retarded.
Anyway, I liked TCMTB a lot, and I watch it quite often. It's a pretty good prequel to the remake, and I liked seeing the man become the monster.

Agreed. It's a very decent prequel to a fairly so-so remake. In my opinion it surpasses it. Beginning reminded me alot of Leatherface TCM III, so my affection for that film carried over to this one. I'm also a big mark for R Lee, especially when he's in full-blown sociopath mood like he was in this flick.

Beginning wasn't the worst in the series, but by no way my fav. preferred the remake by a long shot. The prequel or it's supposed wasn't even a prequel with te little 5 minutes of footage it showed. What did this have that the remake didn't? I find it hard to believe people prefer this over the remake.

I love the original, were he's mentally disturbed, and dresses in drag. He was more scary and disturbing, before he became the Michael Bay-ish, retarded, psychopath.

He's always been mentally disturbed and mentally retarded, not just in the remake.

@PsychoKidVicious It felt real for me as well, and it felt like something that could really happen. There are people out there who are incredibly twisted, and you can bet your ass that eventually one day a similar event will happen in reality. I'm not saying I want it to happen, but with there seemingly being more sadistic bastards popping up daily, it's almost guaranteed.
@TheSpook Yes, but he was meant to act really different. Even though it was a remake it wasn't meant to follow the original 100%, and it shouldn't have. It was meant to introduce elements that are mixed in with elements of the original. So, he's not meant to be the Leatherface of the original franchise because this isn't the original franchise; it's a new franchise.
