I have a friend who is as dedicated to being a horror fan as I am and his favorite film in the franchise is Leatherface. Its ok for what it is but I prefer the 2 before it more.

Hell I've enjoyed every single one of them except The Next Generation. I just pretend that one doesn't exist

Nope, I'm in the same group that enjoys Leatherface more than the other sequels, maybe the series itself.

I've only seen Leatherface once about 5 years ago and really liked it, need to give it another watch.

The original is a classic and all time favorite of mine. TCM2 is exactly how I want a fun 80's horror to be and I re-watch it all the time.

Haven't bothered to watch Next Generation, I wonder if it can be worse than 3D... Don't think I want to find out.

I'd rank Leatherface as probably my second favorite of the series. Viggo is awesome as is most of the cast for the most part. For some reason I just really enjoy it.

That was my favorite one as a kid, when I couldn't detect how cheesy it was. It didn't really hold up too well.

I still think the remake is pretty damn solid, and my personal #2 behind the original. It's nasty, has a unique look to it and solid acting, and gave us one of the best modern horror villains in recent memory, with R. Lee Emry's character.

Think that's why I enjoy it more than I should. It's odd as there are a ton of horror I loved growing up but did not enjoy after a lengthy lapse of years went by. For some reason the outright absurdity of it all keeps me entertained. It's probably a guilty pleasure liking of the film. Also always enjoy seeing Virgo playing a batshit crazy redneck cannibal too

It's also odd that I hated TCM2 as a kid even hating it in my college years. Probably about 8 years ago I finally gained an appreciation for the flick. It was a major curve ball for a sequel which now I can appreciate and enjoy it a ton!

I enjoy the remake a ton too. Thought it was solid and always surprised it gets slammed as much as it does. Nice gritty feel and Emry stole the show. Enjoyed the atmosphere in this one too.

You can pick up the Unrated/R rated versions pretty cheap here in the states for around 5 bucks or so. Well worth having if you have any of the others in your collection. Honestly you should watch The Next Generation just for the hell of it

I will honestly never forget about N2N and the argument over the second one and Leatherface hiding in the backseat. That was a beast argument between you guys.

The 2nd one was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I still own that very VHS to this day.
