You know, I agree with virtually everything said here, especially the very last sentence. Other than what Hellraiser became after Hellbound the TCM franchise is one of the most pathetic out there. My only slight rebuttal? I enjoyed parts of The Beginning because of Andrew Bryniarski's portrayal of Leatherface and the gore...it's something of a guilty pleasure, I suppose.

Supposedly, it will pick up where the original (1974) ended. I had the pleasure of talking with both Marilyn Burns and Gunnar Hansen last weekend at Horror Hound Columbus and asked them both about their cameo roles in the new film. As expected, they were quite mum on the subject, but seemed to believe it will be a good film. Only time will tell I suppose.
