i'm trying not to let the backlash affect my opinion. i do know that I liked Bastard a lot more than Goblin. it's hard to want to dive into a new album. sorta just sick of hearing about this whole crew.

I've tried listening to them and they suck. They're all hype and controversy.

I think they are crude and rough around the edges, but they have the components to be a big success.
Tyler, Earl and Frank Ocean are for me the ones who stand out.
Listened to Domo's album and he may have just repeated "I like weed" for 45 minutes.

Not really. I don't know if you're a fan of hip hop, but I know MANY people who listen to tons of true hip hop and they love these dudes. They may not like the whole crew, but Tyler, Earl, and Frank definitely have the talent to last for years. Most of them are pretty bad, but I think there is a real reason for people to like them. I rather have OF all over the place than some shit like Soulja Boy.

They are definitely controversial, but I just see it as them being trolls in real life and not apologizing. They express themselves however they want without worrying if it is going to piss anyone off...In fact, I am sure they think it's funny when people say they want to punch them in the face.

I agree with this.
There's NO question that the star of the group is Earl Sweatshirt. The kid is brilliance at times. His album is terrific too.
Listening to him on Couch, Assmilk and Orange Juice - he's fluid. Incredible vocabulary.
Tyler for me is someone who's making waves by saying some of the most off-the-cuff remarks for the pure fun of it. Almost like Eminem did at the beginning.
One Tyler mellows down, he could turn heads with his creativity. They are young, brash, crude, vulgar - but very talented.
