I saw it for $14.99 at MediaPlay. The ironic thing of it is, the Blue Underground single-disc was selling for the exact same price as the Media-Blasters/ShriekShow double disc...Unfortunately for me, the MediaPlay outlet closest to me has since went out of business, before I had a chance to pick it up. Media Play went out of business everywhere I think. Best Buy may have bought them out. Don't quote me on that but I am pretty sure.

That disc is good. The 5.1 is a joke however.

That makes sense. But then what of Sam Goody and MusicLand, which were part of the same corporate entity? I think MusicLand is gone as well, but we still have Sam Goody (often replacing MusicLand, as was the case in my home town). If Best Buy indeed bough out not only MediaPlay but also all of its sister stores, that would explain why our local Sam Goody had the "Best Buy Exclusive Edition" of the 'King Kong Trilogy' in the deluxe tin with extra postcards, sitting on their shelves...HOw could Sam Goody stock a Best Buy exclusive unless the store has some kind of ties to Best Buy? Hmm...

I got the Anchor Bay copy (the black one with the maggot covered corpse in the front). Ive been constantly replaying the eye scene. I just cant look away and i enjoy seeing it at the same time, sorta sick.

Yes I have the anchor bay one aswell, god love them. The eye scene is quite painful to watch the first time.

i just did

but i got the 2 disc about a week ago and was dissapointed it didnt have the scene of the boat zombie rising from the water.

however they do talk about it on the documentary and also another scene with more zombies rising from the water.

anyone know where i could find the scene instead of buying another dvd?

I also have the two-disc which is satisfactory picture and soundwise, I did read that the picture was not transfered in progressive but I can't really tell from the Blue Underground version.

What I didn't particularly care for was the documentary. Mostly subtitled, and the people basically are tooting their own horns saying that they made a better film than Romero did with Dawn of the Dead. I couldn't do anything else except roll my eyes the whole time.

I do love ZOMBI though, so it doesn't matter that much. I will say after the fact, I wish I had gotten the Blue Underground version as it would be cheaper and was remastered in progressive.
