The Two Towers is the best installment.
Fellowship is slightly snooze worthy and King is all battles.

But Fellowship wasn't a snooze fest when it came out. It just suffers as being the introduction which makes it very minimal in scope comparatively but it's still very well made. But yes I do agree that Two Towers is the best but that's only because I love Smeagle. Surkis should have been nominated for something for his work.

The LOTR are pure cinematic gold of the highest rank. The Two Towers is my favorite too - the darkest installment of the three. Have a big framed poster of it hanging in my living room.
![]() Can't wait for the Blu-ray of the extended versions.

Fellowship is my favorite. I think it's the most well rounded flick, of the three. It also has the most "fantasy" elements of them all as well. Being the first film in the trilogy, it also had a lot more mystery, and wow factor.
The whole trilogy is outstanding though. |

Lord of the Rings is one of the greatest cinematic trilogies ever put to screen. I remember seeing each of them in theaters and now I watch the extended editions in succession once every year around Christmas, to fill the void of no more Rings movies being released around that time anymore. It's always a blast - My friends and I get together and have a viewing party.
